Mandatory Travel Soccer Evaluations for U10 through U12 Age Groups
Children born between 2012 and 2015 considering playing TRAVEL soccer in the Fall 2023 and/or Spring 2024 MUST attend at least one of three travel soccer evaluation sessions in May 2023. SFSA recommends that players attend at least two of the three sessions.
All Evaluations will be held at Hogan Field at Boys Home Park in South Fayette.
EVALUATIONS ARE MANDATORY FOR TRAVEL SOCCER.
If your child is going to play Travel soccer in the upcoming Fall or Spring (a year away), they MUST attend at least one of these evaluations (there will not be separate evaluations before the Spring season). A player will NOT be permitted to play Travel soccer without attending a minimum of one evaluation.
If a player has not attended at least one evaluation but still wishes to play Travel Soccer, a parent or guardian must petition the Board in-person and show good cause for why the player could not comply with mandatory evaluations (e.g. moved into the district after evaluations, was unable to play due to injury, etc). The Board has discretion on whether to grant the request or not and the requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Evaluations are very important and are used to place children on a team fitting their skill level. While attendance at only one evaluation session is required, attendance at 2 or more is highly recommended in an attempt to most accurately gauge the player’s skill level to place them on the correct team.
The evaluation is NOT registration. All players must still complete the registration process. Select the Login or Register button above to register.
All travel players must also have a SFSA travel uniform (purchased for 2022-2023 seasons or after.) See the Travel Uniform page for more info.
